Cardiac Science Corrective Action On November 13, 2009, Cardiac Science announced a medical devise correction recall of approximately 300,000 G3 AEDs manufactured between August 2003 and August 2009.

The FDA also came out with a communication on it on November 19, 2009 - Defective Cardiac Science Corporation Powerheart and CardioVive AEDs -where they say that the AED display screen and/or audible indicators may not accurately indicate whether the devise is functioning properly and they encourage users to take precautions including considering using alternate AEDs if available until the defective one is repaired. Cardiac Science is supposed develop a software upgrade by May of 2010 to correct the deficiencies. Please be sure to contact Cardiac Science and be sure to get your unit(s) updated.
