Physio Control issued a Medical Devise Corrective Action June 11, 2007 for certain biphasic LIFEPAK R 500 AEDs with software versions of 4.4 or lower. Imdert certain conditions, the biphasic LIFEPAK 500 AEEDs with these software versions can deliver 100 Joules to a patient which is less than the recommended factory minimum of 200 J.
