Instructor Bios

Altra Medical is proud to work some of the best instructors throughout the U.S. We can arrange for CPR/AED, Healthcare Provider, First Aid and Blood Borne Pathogens trainings at your facility at a convenient time for you. Participants will have an opportunity to practice hands-on training and will receive a certification card from the American Heart Association, which is valid for two years.  

Below are bios of just a sample of the instructors we use:

  

Dennis DiSarro

Dennis DiSarro is a State Certified Paramedic/Firefighter and currently is a full-time professor at Florida SouthWestern State College teaching Paramedic and Fire Science courses. Dennis is an American Heart Association Certified Instructor teaching Basic and Healthcare provider CPR, Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support, Pediatric Advanced Life Support as well as International Trauma Life Support.

 In his spare time, Dennis enjoys the outdoors and traveling Florida on his Harley Davidson Motorcycle. 

 

Cleve Thomason

Cleve Thomason is a retired Battalion Chief from the City of Kissimmee Fire Department with 31 years of experience as a professional firefighter and EMT. The vast knowledge and experience he gained in the delivery of fire and emergency medical services led him to start his own business called Cardiac Cleve.  He is a certified Basic Life Support instructor, American Safety and Health Institute instructor, and American Heart Association instructor.  Cleve offers certification courses in CPR-AED (Adult, Child, & Infant), Healthcare Provider, First Aid, and Blood Borne Pathogens.  All of his classes are taught by him personally with professional firefighters. 

Cleve currently lives in the Orlando, Florida area.

 

Dr. Garry Goldstein

 

 

 

 

  

Dr. Goldstein, MD and MPH specializes in internal medical and occupational medicine. 

He has served as Assistant Clinical Professor of Medicine at Boston University School of Medicine.  He was also an Adjunct Professor of the Public Safety Department of Palm Beach State College.  He is a certified instructor for American Heart Association for the past 12 years and teaches courses in adult, child and infant CPR/AED and First Aid. 

Dr. Goldstein has many years of experience providing emergency care in hospital and clinics.  He also does consultations in ergonomics and public safety.
