As of December 31, 2016 Philips will be discontinuing the Forerunner AED batteries. If you have a Philips Forerunner AED this means that new batteries for your defibrillator will no longer be available. Fore more information click below on the copy of the EOL letter that Philips has provided to consumers with Forerunner defibrillators.
Philips stopped manufacturing the Forerunner AED in 2000 which means that your machine is at least 16 years old. Philips also ceased providing warranty support of the Forerunner and its accessories in March of 2006.
It may be a good time to start thinking about replacing your AED with a newer improved model such as the Philips FRx or Onsite defibrillators. Click on the links below for more information on the Philips FRx and OnSite defibrillators.
Right now Philips is offering special programs to help you transition into a new defibrillator with a $100 trade in credit for your old AED toward the purchase of a new HeartStart OnSite or FRx. For more information call us at 727-541-5900.
