Philips OnSite AED Adult SMART Pads Cartridge - M5071A

Product Description
It is important to have fresh pads in the defibrillator at all times. They expire every two years as the electrolytic gel inside will dry out over time. Your Philips AED does self tests daily to check the gel moisture. So while your pads may still work, Philips won't necessarily guarantee that the AED will be successful if your pads are past the expiration date.
Cartridge includes one set of adult defibrillation pads for Philips HeartStart Home or HeartStart OnSite AEDs.
The pads are "SMART" because they work with the device to sense whether they have been removed from the cartridge and placed on the patient's skin. Pictures on the pads illustrate correct placement.
HeartStart Adult SMART Pads are appropriate for cardiac arrest victims weighing 55 pounds or more or 8 years of age or older. Cartridges have two year shelf life.
Two sets of pads are recommended in case something goes wrong, you don't want to be without a spare.

A little hard to remove the cartridge from the case for replacement. However accessing pads and application is easy and appropriate

Hopefully we'll never have the opportunity to see how well it works because that would involve using it on someone who is in cardiac arrest. Still, we have confidence in this product as it apparently has stood the test of time and has saved a number of lives along the way. It is also easy to install and use. Our only complaint is that the shelf life (expiration date) is so short for the cost of it.

It is great to have a company close that I can order or pads and batteries from and get them fast. These pads are so easy to install.
