 Have any of your workers accidently caught a chain saw, had an amputation or cut themselves severely?  You know how life threatening those situations can be.  Did you have the right equipment in your first aid kits?

Probably not, but now you can.  Altra Medical now offers Olas bandages with a pressure cup that can stop severe bleeding.  We also offer 1 ½ inch  and 1 inch tourniquets that can be used to stop severe bleeding, and blast bandages that can be used for amputation situations.  Quick clots incorporated into bandages are now endorsed to control bleeding situations and are better than those designed in the past.

In cases of severe bleeding, you need to put pressure on the artery or wound to stop the bleeding.  These new patented bandages, designed to treat soldiers in combat, are state of the art and available now for private use.

The Olas bandage has ample gauze to create pressure or can be used to pack a wound, and has an elastic bandage with Velcro stops that make it easy to wrap tightly.

 It can also be used with a tourniquet if bleeding is severe.  Old tourniquets were thin and would cut into the limb causing more damage.  These new wider tourniquets can be used to stop blood flow to enable transport to the hospital without losing limbs.  “Stop the Bleeding” teaches the use of tourniquets for shooting situations along with pressure bandages.

If a hand or finger is amputated, the Blast Bandage has a large pad that can be used to wrap around the stump to collect the tissue and  an elastic bandage with Velcro stops that can makes it easy to secure.

We can package these items with gloves,  surgical tape,  trauma scissors and gauze to supplement your traditional first aid kits.
