Zoll purchased Cardiac Science in 2019 and is merging their product line into the Zoll family. The two predominant Cardiac Science AEDs are the Powerheart G3 and Powerheart G5. Each includes a CPR metronome for CPR feedback. Markets for these models include schools, churches, law enforcement and municipal applications.

Cardiac Science Powerheart G3 The G3 is designed for lay responders in offices, schools, churches, and other similar environments. It has a moderate durability for dust and humid environments. It has a four year lithium sulfur battery and there is a battery level indicator when the lid is opened. Pads have two year life. Optional pediatric pads are available for children less than 8. The G3 is a little larger than some AEDs and comes with a carry case, two sets of adult pads and download cable. |

The G5 is designed for lay responders in offices, schools, churches, law enforcement and other similar environments. It has high durability for dust and humid environments. It has a four year lithium battery and there is a battery level indicator when the lid is opened. Pads have two year life. Optional pediatric pads are available for children less than 8. Since Zoll purchased Cardiac Science, the G5 comes with ICPR pads as a default that will provide CPR feedback. It comes with a slim case, one sets of adult pads ICPR pads, one set of standard pads and download cable. The G5 monitors when pads need to be replaced and will chirp when pads or the battery reaches its expiration date. |
